I spend quite a bit of time online, more than I should at times. I have a few blogs I 'write' and I follow a few others, I keep up with MMA and football and I get my news and political commentary from the net. I also spend quite a bit of time on Facebook. I have come across some pretty cool accounts of the Victory of Jesus in people's lives and other things that glorify the Great Jesus.

Gratitude 05.21.10

Jeremy S.: Livin it! Good training today, feel awesome! Thank u Jesus!

Nicole B.: Gratitude is good. The more you are thankful for, the more you will have to be thankful for. God responds to a grateful heart with joy.

Dave T.:  Loves how the Body of Christ ministers to one another. Religion can't do that, politics can't get it done. Putting greater value on others more than ourselves is a Jesus thing. **And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, Hebrews 10.24**Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.Philippians 2.3

CJ: I'm sure glad God shows up, to make up for my lack of showing up!

Darryl N.: Praise to Father is a natural outcome when life is thankfully lived.

Dottie: O Lord, you have been our refuge throughout every generation. Psalm 90:1........Thanks for always being there!!

Break It Down 04.19.10

Jessie J: Completeness in any church setting equals to only what the Five-Fold Ministry gives. Thanks and Glory to God for providing us with all things we need that pertains to life and Godliness. Amen!

Scott C: Look back and thank God. Look forward and trust God. Look around and serve God. Look within and find God! God closes doors no man can open and God opens doors no man can close.

Steve C: The last lie the enemy will push on humanity is the first lie he told Adam...God is NOT GOOD! Do not lose heart..come what will..come what may...I declare to you today..THAT GOD IS GOOD!! I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Psalm 27:13 Come taste and see that the Lord is GOOD!

Darryl R: People of destiny are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ who walk out the will of God for their life, the call of God upon their life, and fulfill the plans of God throughout their lifetime. We are called to be people of desiny.

Karen H: I LOVE GOD!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE MANY BLESSINGS YOU RAIN DOWN ON ALL OF US!!!

Dottie: Actually we should look at the 'bad times' as the Lord teaching us, so in reality there are no bad times, only the Lord guiding and teaching and loving us! :)

CJ: Nothing is impossible with our Lord Jesus Christ!

Nikki T: Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other.

Love 04.08.10

Danny: Knowing that your sins are forgiven, and you are made right with God, is absolutely necessary or essential to freely receive emotional healing. The only way that you will reach that place is when you put your total and complete trust in the Blood of Jesus, knowing that it was shed for the remission or removal of your sins (see Matthew 26:28).

Donna W.: I cannot help but follow the Lamb...for He has ruined me with His amazing love!

Seth S.: ILY God! You're amazing!  You are in my life,  I love it! Your love is so amazing!

4/7/10

Truths 04.07.10

Scott S.: Please pray for those who are CONFUSED and MISGUIDED about what being a Christian is all about. Just 1 example: Ohio woman shoots her cousin in the head on Easter Sunday because she thought her shorts bared too much leg for church. :(

Jeff S.: Lord I thank and praise you right now,for you are worthy of all my praise. No matter what may happen me,I will trust You. You have NOT forgotten where I am.

Darryl R.: Nothing ever has been the same since Jesus rose from the dead. And nothing is ever the same when we let the Resurrection and the Life raise us from the death of our own ways.

C.J.: Jesus paid it all!!!

Tony C.: My thoughts and reflections today drift to a place I've never been before...a place called Golgotha.

Hannelore: If your spiritual life has lost its edge, ask the Father for the Holy Spirit of conviction, and see what happens.

Dottie: "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it"(Psalm 118:24, NIV).........YES, even though I am crazy, pulling my hair out, getting no sleep busy I WILL rejoice and be glad!! And YES, even though my heart is heavy for my sister and nieces who lost their friend, ex husband & father I WILL be glad ...I am here today!! BLESS US LORD, HAVE MERCY!

Scott C.: Our sin was so great that it took the death of the Son of God to redeem us, but our value is so great to God that he sent his son for us.

03.01.10 Anointed Fighter/Danny White

Below are facebook posts written by Danny White. Danny also provides a daily bible study for his site, Anointed Fighter. Danny brings Christian encouragement and teaching from a MMA perspective. If you get the chance look up Danny on facebook or check out Anointed Fighter.

Our world desires better schools, a better press, better government, a better business world, a better economy, better living conditions, better social institutions, better communities. These desires are laudable, but they cannot be achieved with unchanged men.

The answer to creation's deteriorating state is not to preach the keeping of the law; the answer lies in the living out of Christ, and in Him alone.

Force does not transform— it merely breeds contempt. Love transforms. Love changes the nature. Love wins the allegiance of the heart. Love forms an indissoluble bond. Love makes one. Love captivates the will. Love, though omnipotent, is very gentle. God reigns by infinite wisdom, power and love and the greatest of these is love. Love conquers all!

God is love; and love does not impose its will upon us, or enforce it against ours. Love woos and wins by a principle far higher than brute force.

VICTORY 02.18.10

Danny W.: When Jesus stepped out of heaven and into the cage of life to defeat Satan at the cross, he not only backed up what was written about him in the Scriptures, he made it possible for us to do the same. Mark it down, “…the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power” (1 Corinthians 4:20). Many religions can talk smack… The question is, can they back it up?

C.J: When everything else is out of whack in life remember that God is and always will be good!!!

Darryl R.: Yes indeed! So the question remains, why don't we win more and partake of the spoils of war?

Dottie:.I'm thanking my Lord today for His faithfulness! He is always so good!!

Tony C.: God is near...

Steve C.: JESUS CHRIST..number one in every realm..throughout all time and eternity..the Supreme Being..the Head of a New Humanity..to Him "every knee will bow, and every tongue confess..HE IS LORD"!!

Misty M.: If we don't share our trials and triumphs how will we offer hope to others and lead them to Christ?

Double Encouragment 02.11.10

Michelle F.: Through the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit, we can experience the reign of God in our DAILY LIVES....It is the "Spirit of God" who reveals the ways of God, to the children of God....John 14:26

Michelle F.: The rule and reign of God within the hearts of men, women and children is the reality of the Kingdom of God on earth....The Kingdom of God is both a present reality and our future certainty

Joseph J.: Spiritual combat is like physical combat, there are rules of engagement. We fight a daily fight against the enemy in spiritual combat. Bait and flank tactics are the enemy's favorite. He baits us with rejection issues, draws us in to receive a hurt or attack and react in kind all the while moving to flank and come i...n behind where we have no armor. The minute we receive he hurt and react our flank is exposed.

Joseph J.: Father, in Jesus name I ask for all a greater spiritual discernment, clarity of spiritual sight and physical sight, wisdom and understanding beyond what they have at this moment. To see the path clearly. Give us all wisdom, knowledge and foresight, strength and courage to stand in faith no matter what lies ahead or is ...at our door. Lift us to a closer relationship with you Lord. Amen.

CJ: Our position in Christ overpowers our condition!

CJ: God is constantly revealing HIMSELF to us. Often we are just distracted by the stuff in our hands to see HIM.

Nicole B.:
Jesus is a friend who walks in when the world has walked out.

Nicole B.:
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him; for He cares for you affectionately, and cares about you watchfully. ~1Peter 5:7

Ramona R.:
No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of Your presence and the pleasures of living with You forever. Psalm 16:9,11

Ramona R.: I'm gonna do what is possible and trust God with the impossible.

Dottie:
“Jesus has the last word on everything and everyone, from angels to armies. He’s standing right alongside God, and what he says goes.” (1 Peter 3:22, The Message)......I love this one!

Dottie:
even though I think something should go a certain way, if I have prayed about it and it doesn't go that way, then the Lord is truly watching out for me and knows what is best for me, He can see all, I can't! Man, I just love Him!! He is SO AWESOME!

Darryl R.: Know that God is empowering us to be difference makers, not status quo keepers.

Darryl R.: Don’t just wait for things to change so we can move into our promised future - promote the changes through faith actions.

Truth and Encouragement 01.13.10

Nicole B.: We glorify God in the highest possible way when we lift each other up.

CJ: My walk with Christ is full of new and exciting surprises, but the roots are in my brokenness and desperate need for HIM to be Lord of my life. And if I ever lose this, I am in danger of losing everything!

CJ: And just to clarify I am not worried about losing my salvation. I just can't ever forget where I was when HE found me and it is a good thing to have a broken spirit and a contrite heart. Often we tend to get too comfortable in our walk with the Lord and forget that we still need HIM just as much as we did when we were lost!!!

Darryl R.: When things don't go our way, it is good to know they can still go God's way. Knowing and believing this is our stability when things go upside down and inside out.

Margaret: What is the measuring stick? Who is the stick maker? I thought we ALL fell short....did I miss something? Do I still fall short? You bet...BUT now I have Jesus to replace my inability to measure up ♥ Jesus PERIOD..you can call me cheap but you definitely can't call what He paid on that cross cheap!!!

Andy: Some like to call religion a crutch. I agree.I need a personal relationship with Christ or give me nothing. I'm tired of religious Christianity. God will do more in months than what a lifetime of religious striving will do. Its time to let God be in control!

Misty: He's not through with me and He's not through with you either!!!! It's not easy but by faith I press through EVERY trial, big and small knowing that HE will be right there beside me!!!!!!

Jan's Testimony 12.11.09

Jan:
I know it seems paradoxical, but in the midst of all the trials I have been going through, I feel the presence of the Lord more now than ever. I even find myself waking up in the mornings with praise songs unto the Lord.
BTW, the seeds I planted in my son when he was young and during his impressionable teenage years, concerning the truths of the ... See More Lord, are now coming to fruition. Although I never force it down his throat, he confessed to me the other day that in spite of the fact that he hated God and despised me for professing Christ, had I not planted those seeds, fertilized them with prayer and watered them with my tears, he knows that he would have fallen prey to the satanic cults, as that was the path he was on. Now, The Holy Spirit is really opening up his eyes and he is even beginning to teach me new revelations.
God is so good!

The Women Were Preaching Today 12.10.09

Dottie: Thank the Lord, He truly is helping me today!! Sometimes I can't believe how gracious and merciful He is to me, it blows me away!!

Misty: I have to say my kids have done extemely well the past few days! Thanks kids! I love you and am proud of you just for being yourselves!!!!! I am so blessed to be your Mom!

Martha: Trusting God for wisdom in many areas....it is a good thing, but sometimes it doesn't come as soon as I would like!

Mary Anne: The lame will leap.. The dumb will speak.. The praises of the Lamb.

Encouragement- 11.30.09

Becky N.: Today, I am thankful God loves me enough to keep working on trying to make me more like Him...(even though I have a long way to go:)

Jeff S.: Hello my friends do you ever wonder if praying for someone really works well this is what you need to know. I have ask you to pray for Alan Farmer Ketron today he's walking around with a cane, I ask you to pray for Shelby Ketron she was on life support and gave 2 to 3 days to live with no hope she is doing good she was... sitting up and eating turkey on Thanksgiving Day. So you don't need to wonder no more here's proof.

Matt D.: I hope we as Americans get our heads out of the sand soon. I hope we can begin to realize what Thanksgiving and Christmas are all about. I'm afraid most people will head out the day after Thanksgiving and run their credit cards up even more. How can we get pissed at our government if we accumulate just as much private debt? I don't want to be ... See Morepessimistic, but we can't continue to live like this. Please, don't be tricked by rich bankster politicians who say they are going to "spread the wealth". Lets spread it ourselves by giving to others. Run in the 5k for the Jesus Center. Buy a homeless person a sandwich. Give to your local church. Volunteer your time serving food to the homeless. Make dinner for your grandparents. If you can, offer to pay whenever you can. Money is just ink and paper. Must we gorge ourselves on Turkey and then watch football all day and then do nothing for our fellow man? I am all for liberty and the choice to watch sports and meaningless entertainment, but if that is all we do, we might as well keep our heads buried so much in the sand and sit idle while so called representative government drives the debt past $12 trillion. Please people. Wake up! We must look within ourselves, the common person, and begin to empower ourselves with the decency and morality given to us by our divine Creator. Be thankful we have a Savior. Be thankful for each other. Be thankful we have the ability to fight for our freedoms. Don't be gorged so full of triptophane that you can't find the energy to continue to fight for those freedoms. If you have loved ones serving us in the military, God bless. Happy Thanksgiving.

Below is a status update with a couple of the comments.
Nikki T.: Love is a choice not an emotion. Who do you choose to love?

~~Scott C.: absolutely true statement. The emotion is nice but is neither necessary nor sufficient to be love. Real love is when the others best interests take precedence over your own. This is not to be confused with their emotional desires.

~~Dottie H.: I know your statement is true after being married to the same man for 34 1/2 years!!

Dire Circumstances=God's Opportunity-Kristi Harris

Below is a note that Kristi Harris, a  facebook friend of my wife's and mine wrote.

Earlier today, the Lord led me to the following passages of Scripture:

1 Samuel Chapter 30
Daniel Chapter 2

I invite you to read the above passages for yourself. When I had finished reading them, this is what the Lord had me write down...

In these two chapters, we see mighty men of God responding to
terrible situations which threatened not only their reputations and influence, but their very lives and the lives of others.
David in 1 Samuel Chapter 30 is faced with the Amalekite destruction of
Ziklag. The city has been burned, and the women and children of the city taken into captivity, including his own two wives. In Daniel Chapter 2, Daniel hears that he, his friends, and all wise men of Babylon will soon be destroyed by order of the king if no one can interpret the king's dream.
Each of these men is deeply distressed by their situation. Each is grieved for
those who are affected and wants to save them, but each man also wants to save himself. Daniel was facing execution, and David's own people were talking of stoning him for what they apparently blamed him for allowing to happen at Ziklag.

Their responses of grief, distress, and fear are not to be faulted. That is the
natural response of men in such situations;even mighty men of God. But what they do next in response is what makes them men of valor. They refuse to be consumed by their grief or fear. They take courage;but not in their own abilities. They both move boldly into the throne room of their God to ask for His guidance, mercy, and provision.
Each man makes his petition to God for himself and others, then yields himself
to God's leadership. They trust that God can and will come through for them and those they are defending. It's this trust, confidence, and dependence upon God's abilities, not their own, that enables them to lead (i.e., follow through with God's instructions).
I see that even God's mightiest leaders do face serious trouble.
What distinguishes them when they do is that they take that trouble before God with confidence that He is going to hear their requests and come through as He sees fit. Their strength and ability are not centered in what they can do, but on what God says He WILL do.

People will follow in confidence those that are confidently following God. Be
bold in requests for guidance and provision. Expect trouble, and expect God to come through for you. Trouble is God's opportunity to provide breakthrough and deliverance for His people through His leaders. When trouble comes;especially when it's focused on you personally; expect God to make a way for you to shine as a leader. To the degree that you follow God with confidence and obedience, others will follow you with that same spirit. God will prove you to be His man.

TROUBLE= Opportunity for God to do something amazing
SEEKING GOD IN TIME OF TROUBLE=Opportunity for God to show you what He's going to do and call you into active participation
FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH ACTION=Opportunity for God to increase your favor, influence, and authority

Praise and Thanksgiving

Brian S: "To whom be glory for ever. Amen" -- Romans 11:36 Anything less is self focus, let's give Him all of it this week!
Dottie H: Praise to God for His Holiness The LORD is king; let the peoples tremble! Mighty King, lover of justice, O LORD our God, you answered them; Extol the LORD our God, and worship at his holy mountain; for the LORD our God is holy. (excerpts of Psalm 99)

Elaine S: I am thankful for God's provision in my life. No matter what may have been happening around us: job lay-off, medical expenses, unexpected household needs God has always provided. He has always been, and is the supplier of my every need.

Michele G: God is faithful! He is gracious and loving and patient. He is my Rock! He is my Lord! Blessed is today for He has done great things.

Dan T: Took an early out. Lots of things to get done before the snow fly's. What a nice fall it has been. To God alone be the Glory !!!

Steve C: I'm more interested in God's dream than mine..in My destiny only as it relates to His predestination. Thank God for the Holy Spirit who knows how to groan for what the Father wants.

Dave T: Today was a day just like every other day: He was faithful when I wasn't. 2 Tim 2:13

Hannelore: is praising the Lord for answered prayer!

CJ: A little disappointed, but I will still praise HIM!!!

Dave T.: GLORY! I am amped! There is a lot of Praise and Thanksgiving on fb today! People declaring His Lordship, His Faithfulness and their appreciationg for Him! ***Sing praise to the LORD, you saints of His, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. Psalm 30:4

11/9/09

Encouragement- 11.09.09

William C.: I have to laugh... I am loved regardless of my many imperfections - and when I go astray; his firm correcting hand affirms my adoption!

Steve C.: Those who engage the enemy without..will soon find where they have not overcome the enemy within.

Nicole B.: Two scriptures come to mind for me today: No weapon forged against you will prevail ~Isa 54:17 and I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears ~Ps 34:4

Dew D.: There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. (1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

Danny W.: Every fighter is looking for a genuine relationship with a heavenly trainer. If all you do is throw religion punches and kicks, those standing across from you will have no choice but to defend themselves. However, if you show the love of Jesus first, others will be more likely to receive what has already been placed in their heart from eternity.

Ramona R.: How the Father's heart must break for us when we are broken. We get only a glimpse of this in watching over our own children.

11/3/09

Encouragement 11.03.09

Darryl R.: We may not get it the first time around, or even after many rounds, but God doesn't give up His determination to help us get it. Whatever our "it" is today, God is presently helping us.

C.J.: God tells us that we will walk through some dark valleys in our lives and HE also tells us that HE will be right by our side as we do. And more than likely the blessing will be on the other side of the valley, and we cannot get it by going around the valley, we have to walk through it.

Dave: Perhaps people could stop limiting God to interrupt their lives only through the extraordinary. Believe it or not, God can use people just as easily as He can use an angel, a burning bush, a bright light and an audible voice to bring about the extraordinary in our lives.

Jeremy M.: Lets all stand up for Christ! Show the world that there are still God Fearing Christians on the face of the earth!

Annette N.: Seek first his kingdom!!!!!

Tammy H.: You know it is strange some people think they are better than others. But my God tells me "No way! I made them from dirt just like I did you."

Deb S.: Please don't judge me for the way I was 20 year ago. Please see me for the person I have grown to be and a new set of eyes to see more clearly and live a better life.

Mark D.: Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again--rejoice! Philippians 4:4, NLT It seems strange that a man in prison would be telling a church to rejoice. But Paul's attitude teaches us an important lesson: our inner attitudes do not have to reflect our outward circumstances. Paul was full of joy because he knew... that no matter what happened to him, Jesus Christ was with him. Several times in this letter, Paul urged the Philippians to be joyful, probably because they needed to hear this. It's easy to get discouraged about unpleasant circumstances or to take unimportant events too seriously. If you haven't been joyful lately, you may not be looking at life from the right perspective.

10/29/09

Encouragement-10.29.09

Darryl N.: The only remedy for boredom: Awaken to your destiny!

A.J.: If you can't see the bright side of life, polish the dull side.

C.J.: If we would focus less on ourselves and more on Christ we would see that our wounds are not near as significant as we make them.

Darryl R.:Even though there are specific resistances set against us, we overcome them through concentrated efforts of consistent and constant acts of faith. We can and shall be victorious! We do this through Christ Jesus who strengthens us.

Dottie: Aslan is on the move!!

10/28/09

Encouragement- 10.28.09

C.J.: Grateful (Status)
C.J.: Thank you Jesus for calling me into YOUR marvelous light!!! (Post)

Dew: He has not dealt with us according to our sins. Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His loving kindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him (Psalm 103: 10-13)

Rusty: Good morning Jesus and good morning Singapore! Time to let God be divine and lead me by His Spirit into a greater adventure!

The Heavenly Trainers’ Voice (Danny)

The Heavenly Trainers’ Voice

“Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice
and come out–those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.”
John 5:28-29

A round is coming during the good fight when every fighter will hear the voice of the heavenly trainer. Many fighters are standing in the center of the cage of life fighting by their own efforts. They have blocked out the voice of their heavenly trainer calling from the corner. This will change. A round is coming when all voices will be tapped out except one, the voice of Jesus Christ!

Some fighters will not be familiar with this voice for they will be hearing it for the first time. However, they will have no problem understanding that the voice belongs to Jesus. These fighters will remember rounds when they heard this voice coming from the corner of the fighters that they had down inside the cage of life, pounding with their insults and persecution. They will hear it one last time and perhaps never again.

However, Anointed Fighters will be lifted off the mat and comforted by a familiar voice that has never left them during the difficult rounds of the good fight. For the first time, the will be able to put their arms around their champion and thank him for knocking out their sins. They will be able to hang up the gloves and enter into his rest. The good fight will be over! However, until then…

Remember, it is called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory not for victory. Keep Fighting!

Intellectual Black Hole

I think a lot of the details people wrestle with and try to understand will only drive us into a intellectual black hole that will lead us out of Gods presence and grace in our lives. These things have been argued to death since the beginning and will never be settled for good.I always try to leave my heart open to hear Gods truth in these matters ... Read More and God has shown me a tremendous amount of insight that I know are above me.Using ones intellect and reasoning can be dangerous for ones faith if its mixed with doubt, fear or bitterness or anything other than submission and trust in God. God says His ways are not our ways and that the gospel is foolish to those caught up in philosophy , intellectualism and trust in human reasoning. A point that we all need to understand and remember is that it's Gods plan that we cannot know him or find Him or understand Him by means of our wisdom. It comes from our heart and the change that takes place within us when we accept Christ into our life. Those changes and many other things He's done in me since I was saved 10 years ago are what has sustained my trust in God.My reasoning has yet to bring me closer to God.Maybe its good to use our intellect combined with faith but truth will never be found nor be understood by anyone ever using just our mind.I've walked out much of my Christian experience with a hard heart and utter darkness & emptiness around me(long story)those times are scary to look back on because when I have a hard heart its impossible for me to walk in faith and trust in God.I never would have survived those days had I not given my life to Christ 10 years ago.My mind during those times was my biggest enemy. Sorry so long I hope someone gets this cause I've made so many mistakes over the years, some intentional and many not, that I need to express to people I've had this fact beat into me( satans done the beating, not God!)that our thoughts and reasoning can be a easy path to destruction if our hearts aren't focused on Him,and they never are 100%.So be on guard always.Bless you guys!

Encouragement-10.27.09

Darrell: The quieter I am, the less trouble I get into. It's better to learn to listen

Michele: Today is a day to embrace and press in to the challenge that lies ahead. Today, I go to work again and hope to make things a little better than yesterday. We can only eat an elephant one bite at a time...not that I would really want to. What would an elephant taste like anyway...peanuty?

Daryll: God is a good God: He establishes our paths so that we don’t back slide or drift into trouble.

Dew: Praise can play a highly significant role in moving the mighty hand of God in our life, bringing not only deliverance but also enrichment for us and glory to His name. THE SONS OF JUDAH CONQUERED BECAUSE THEY TRUSTED IN THE LORD, THE GOD OF THEIR FATHERS. (2 Chronicles 13:18)

Brain: I dare you to affirm someone today... just look them in the eyes and tell them that God created them as a special gift! Tell them this: Everything about you was made to bring God joy and pleasure! Watch them blink away tears... you can do it - I dare you!

Ramona:I don't need another meeting, I need to meet with Him. I don't need another church group, I need true fellowship in obedience to the Lord God and accountability to one another. I need God: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. I would die without Him.
